We welcome and encourage you to participate in the Sarah Brightman community on SB2K; a website designed and maintained by the fans for the fans. However, as with all social circles there are a few rules you must abide by in order to maintain your active membership within the site.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality community experience for all of our members and following these guidelines is the best way to maintain a quality environment for all age groups. If we find that you break any of these rules, your account may be marked as a troublemaker, disabled, your Forum messages locked, censored or removed and your posting privileges removed. These rules are very basic and we request that you read them fully.
Definition of terms used in this document
SB2K
This website; whose web address is "http://www.sarahbrightman.co.uk" and "http://www.ilovesb2k.co.uk". This website may also be referred to as either "Sarah Brightman's World", "The World of Sarah Brightman", "The Forum", "SB2K Forum" or "The Site". SB2K is a project developed by the Administrator.
Forum
This refers to the online interactive community section of SB2K. In some cases, "SB2K" may also mean "Forum" and vice versa.
Moderators
The people responsible for maintaining and supervising the Forum, seeing that the Forum rules are adhered to, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Click here to contact a Moderator.
Administrator
The overall governing body of the site that has the responsibilities of the Moderators, the site and the server. Click here to contact the Administrator.
Content
Data that you may send to/through SB2K, be it a textual message, image, or any kind of digital data. This further includes data your computer provides automatically as part of the HTTP protocol. This may also be referred to as "data" or "message".
The Rules and Conditions
Language
We encourage you to use SB2K as a forum to debate topics primarily about Sarah Brightman using the English language, messages that are posted in any other language other than English may be deleted without warning. We further request that you use proper non-explicit adjectives to express yourself on the Forum, the use of curse or swear words are not permitted or tolerated. Furthermore, we do not tolerate circumvention of our word filter.
Victimisation/Abuse/Anti-Socialism
This includes publishing, distributing, circulating or otherwise propagating any material, which may be deemed abusive, offensive, anti-social, racist, distressing, harmful, cause anxiety, be of a threatening nature or be it of a general nuisance. Furthermore, any messages found to discredit or bring disrepute to a Moderator or Moderators or SB2K will be removed. Victimising, citing and/or hateful posts, as well as any private retaliation against a single member or a group of members is strictly prohibited. Messages found to contain private or personal information will also be removed/censored at the sole discretion of a Moderator. Messages that are of a stalking nature will also be removed and anyone found to stalk another SB2K member will be banned. Harassment and offensive comments via eMails or other websites regarding any SB2K issues is considered the same as harassing on the SB2K Forum and is prohibited/grounds for banning.
WebSite Advertising
We encourage members to advertise their Sarah Brightman websites on the Forum or via their Signatures as long as a link back to SB2K is provided. Click Here to learn how to make a link to SB2K. You may advertise other music or message related websites as long as they do not violate any of the other SB2K Terms and Conditions. Any advertisements deemed to be inappropriate by the Moderating Team may be removed without notice.
Obscene/Illegal Material
Obscene and or illegal messages, links or graphical material may not be published on SB2K. Encouragements to carry out illegal acts or the requests or unauthorised distribution and publication and or the trading of copyrighted media may be censored or removed without notice.
Spamming
Spamming is characterised by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to the Forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: using the Forum as a personal eMail/chatroom facility, posting textless messages, messages with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion, engaging in unsolicited advertising, and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy, advertise or increase a member's post count, be it on or off topic, are all strictly prohibited.
Hacking
Posting via proxy servers and/or forged headers or otherwise manipulating identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any Content transmitted or the identity of the user, to and through SB2K is strictly prohibited. Users with unauthorised multiple login accounts will find all accounts will be banned. Attempts to interfere with or disrupt the site, as well as the computer servers or Forums/Services accessible through the site, or intentionally causing a reduction in performance or functionality of the site or any of it's network facilities may result in legal action.
Transmission and Publication of Data
When publishing messages, links, uploading images or other Content to SB2K, you may not transmit the following:
i Content that is illegal, defamatory of, abusive or harmful to others.
ii Content that infringes third party intellectual property rights.
You are solely responsible for the Content of your own messages and other data published via SB2K. Neither SB2K, NetCore, the Moderators/Administrator or our hosts accepts any liability for the Content you provide.
Imitation of Members
Imitating members of the site, including Moderators and the Administrator will result in immediate and permanent banning and any further action the Administrator sees fit.
Unlawful Activities
By using any of the services offered by SB2K, you must abide by the law applicable to your part of the world in addition to those of England & Wales and United States of America and not commit or contribute to any offence being carried out.
Age
By registering, logging in, reading and actively participating in the website, you confirm that you are over the age of 13. SB2K gives children between the ages of 13 and 18 the ability to publicly post or distribute personally identifiable contact information without prior parental consent. Please take proper measures if you do not wish your child to have access to public Forums and message boards.
As always, exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information in a public forum. In order to comply with the COPPA ruling, if you are younger than 13 years of age, you are forbidden from becoming a member of SB2K.
Copyright
All data and Content from SB2K remains the property of SB2K. The copying, archiving, saving, storing, printing, broadcasting, publishing or forwarding of any material from SB2K is strictly prohibited without the strict written consent of the Administrator. You agree that all Content remains the property of SB2K.
If any of the above terms and conditions have been violated, a Moderator and/or the Administrator, at their sole discretion, may terminate your password, suspend, or disable your account and/or your ability to use the Forum, as well as removal and deletion of any Content within the site.
If you discover a message you have posted is no longer available, this may be because the message you initially replied to (parent message) was deleted. This is an automatic and logical feature of a threaded Forum. If you complain about this publicly, then your message will be targeted and removed as you will have indicated you have not read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Use.
If you are the author of a message, you can ask a Moderator to censor, lock, move or delete it. If you find any messages that are not your own that you feel may require any of the above mentioned actions performed on them, you may also alert a Moderator/Administrator privately, providing detailed information about the message, including title and author. Any action taken is done at the sole discretion of the Moderating Team.
A Moderator's decision is final and is not up for public discussion. If you feel you need to discuss the matter, please contact a Moderator or Administrator privately. The Moderators do not answer to the Administrator. Moderators are expected to abide by all Forum protocols regarding the censoring and removal of posts which violate any of the above terms and conditions. Any public discussion regarding the decision of a Moderator and/or Administrator is prohibited, and may result in the deletion of the post and/or your account, without notice.
Lastly, the Moderators and the Administrator reserve the right to amend and modify these rules at any time without notice, with the Administrator's word being final.
